For this reason, Eucatex has always used eucalyptus as its raw material in the production of its products. The company started producing soft boards and expanded to include panels and ceiling tiles.
Eucatex gradually increased its production capacity to produce an assortment of wood-related products and galvanized steel roofing sheets. Today Eucatex produces paint and varnishes, MDP and MDF panels, hardboards, laminate flooring, wall partitions, among other products.
Conserving the Environment
The Group is among the Brazilian companies that are conscious about the environment. The company continues to use eucalyptus as its raw material and has approximately 44,000 hectares of eucalyptus forests. The forests ensure the company has a constant supply of the raw material.
Eucatex even has an Environment Educational Program that creates public awareness on forest conservation. The program aims at communicating ways of conserving the environment as well as the importance of handling forests correctly.
The program, also known as ‘House of Nature’ has been running for more than 15 years now and has received almost 22,000 visitors. It occasionally receives students from universities, technical institutions, and groups organized by institutions that aim at conserving the environment such as NGOs and scouts.
Flavio Maluf has proven to be the perfect fit for leading Eucatex. The company has risen through ranks to be a market leader and a leading producer of wood-related products. He has transformed the 65-year-old company into a high-tech company that owns four modern facilities located in Salto and Botucatu. These production plants enable Eucatex to produce high-quality products for its clients located across the world.
