George Soros Stands Behind Black Lives Matter for a Good Reason

The grassroots movement known as Black Lives Matter (BLM) has emerged as a major protest organization for the African American community. Currently, it is the biggest and best organized African American social organization that conducts protests on behalf of the African American community. BLM emerged in 2013 in response of George Zimmerman’s acquittal pertaining to the Treyvon Martin slaying.

This organization was started by three female activists who were being groomed to lead protests on behalf of black minorities. Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi are the three women who created this organization from the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

BLM is supported by at least 82% of all black people and this organization relies on non-violent protests to make changes within society. The ultimate goal of Black Lives Matter is to make U.S. police departments transparent and accountable. They also want reform the police department so that officers are better trained to deal with minorities.

Protest organizations cannot survive if they’re not funded. It would be impossible for them to stay relevant without financial support. In the past, all organizations were supported by individuals or groups making donations. This is one reason as to why Black Lives Matter needs the support of donors such as George Soros. Their financial contributions help BLM to stay afloat. Read this story at Politico about George Soros.

George Soros’s Life as a Billionaire and Philanthropist

George Soros, one of the thirty richest men in the world (Inaccurately rated as the 27th on that list with a net worth of around $25 billion) has earned his position as an investor and maybe even one of the greatest investors in the world. Being born in Hungary, Budapest, he had to flee the country because of the threat of the Nazis and went to England to study and work. Soros was able to sustain himself by working as a waiter and eventually graduated in philosophy. He was then ready to move to New York where he would start putting into practice his knowledge of economics and investments. He had so much acquaintance with how the economy worked that he would later be renowned as the man who broke the Bank of England.

After moving to New York, he got his presence on Wall Street and established a fund of $12 million that would later be renamed the Quantum Fund. With his already high funding, he was able to create the Soros Fund Management where he stars as one of the most notable investors in the market. He has also been investing in politics since he attempted to defeat George W. Bush with his presence in 2004, an attempt that he defined as “a matter of life and death” when comparing Bush to the Nazis. The same scenario repeated itself in 2016 when he committed $25 million of his fortune to support the cause of Hilary Clinton. His fear for Donald Trump as the next president would lead him to commit even more money on Hilary as the Election Day was coming closer.

One of the most notable works of philanthropy he supported happened in 1979 when he decided to give scholarships to black South Americans that were feeling the censure of the Apartheid. His philanthropy work has not stayed in the United States only but has traveled around the world, and the man has since moved to promoting justice and freedom to supporting other types of causes, like the legalization of marijuana in medical treatment. George Soros – Little Known Facts
György Schwartz, aka, George Soros was born in Hungary where he survived the Nazi occupation. Like many Jewish Hungarians, he fled to England at the time the Communist rule began. To truly appreciate his plight, it is necessary to imagine life under the cruel Nazi regime where people were hunted for no reason other than race, creed and ability to be “useful.” The Schwartz family was forced to change their name to “Soros” or be hunted by the Nazis.

Faced with enormous obstacles on discoverthenetworks.org, George Soros developed a natural instinct for right and wrong that was a major source of personal strength and would mark his future for the rest of his life.

Today, George Soros is respected for his philanthropic contributions that equal annual contributions of 45 percent of his total wealth or $735 million to a variety of contributions to education, international charities and sports.

There has been an anti Semitic strategy to cast George Soros in a bad light. The reason is obvious. George Soros chooses to follow his principles and beliefs in business which simply means he refuses to game the system others find it so easy to do. It is clear George Soros early life has influenced his business attitudes that give credence to his success on Politico.

George Soros – tornado-force philanthropy

When George Soros trains his attention on a social cause, you can bet things are about to get stirred up. Recently, Soros has once again proven himself to be a force of nature with his multitudinous efforts to unseat conservative incumbents throughout the country. In spite of his widely publicized backing of Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign, George Soros is not to be easily counted out. His lesser efforts on the local level have been categorical successes and have mostly gone unreported by mainstream media. But whenever Soros acts it’s worth taking note. His vast philanthropic empire can quickly generate tornado-force winds of change and topple old guards from coast to coast.

Taking on criminal injustice, one cop at a time
Recently George Soros has garnered a good deal of attention for his take down of Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio. The aging CIA veteran was bidding for a continuance of his quarter-century tenure. But there was a new sheriff in town. Paul Penzone, a police sergeant, drew Arpaio into an electoral showdown. But the incumbent quickly found himself outgunned. Soros had supplied his enemy with a $2 million arsenal with which to rein havoc upon Arpaio’s campaign. Soon enough Arpaio realized he had brought a knife to a gunfight. He lost in a landslide. And George Soros racked up yet another impressive electoral defenestration to his rapidly swelling body count.

Meanwhile in Florida, another beloved incumbent, Jeff Ashton was running for reelection as Orlando district attorney. The Republican had served for many terms and never faced any real threat to his tenure. No one had any reason to believe this time would be different. As an aside, it’s worth pointing out that dinky little towns and major metropolises alike tend to have locally funded elections. In some cases there are large sums at play. But most of the time, those who run for office, along with a few of their well-heeled friends will usually foot the campaign bill themselves. From the perspective of yokel candidates, Soros’ money bombs are measured by the megaton.

In Florida, Jeff Ashton was running his usual do-it-yourself campaign when out of the blue the George Soros war cloud accreted in the heavens and flooded his opponent’s coffers with a green deluge to the tune of $1.2 million. Ashton’s rival, an unknown public defender named Aramis Ayala, quickly gained the upper hand and started pounding the public face of Ashton’s campaign into the mat on radio and TV commercials over his ugly track record of persecuting vulnerable minorities. Soon enough, Ashton was lying dazed, center ring with each ballot slowly counting the seconds to his political annihilation. Ayala won in another knockout landslide. This was a huge upset for a veteran prosecutor who had won every prior election virtually unchallenged.

As you can see, George Soros plays hardball and he plays to win. This is a man who has booked 20%+ returns every year since 1970, a financial feat of historic proportions. Soros, being a lifelong intellectual, revels in the chance to deploy both his towering genius and his kingly resources to fight for a more open society. He paves over his opponents like so much gravel then drives the Sorosian steamroller onto the next obstacle while his stunned foes look skyward, as if ravaged by an act of God.

Education Takes Center Stage For Dick DeVos

Many people in the world have become concerned about the state of the education system in the U.S. over recent years as the increasing numbers of parents are searching for ways of providing the best possible education for their children. In terms of the families of Michigan Dick DeVos and his wife Betsy have been at the forefront of the right to choose which school a child is educated in for over three decades; in a recent interview I read with Betsy DeVos published by Philanthropy Roundtable the board member of many educational not for profit groups explained just why she and her husband felt the need to become major players in the education reform argument. When Dick DeVos first attended the Potter’s House Christian School over 30 years ago he and Betsy did not know this would be the starting point for a journey I believe will eventually stand out as the legacy of the couple; since those first trips to schools across Michigan I have watched their battle to allow school choice and voucher systems to become commonplace reach new heights of success. Dick has also spent a large amount of his time exploring the opportunity to change the education system from within after being elected to the Michigan State Board of Education in the early 1990s, a position that I found shocking as he was the President of the internationally renowned AmWay Group at the time of his election.

Dick DeVos is a popular businessperson for the roles he has undertaken for the AmWay Group founded by his philanthropist father, Richard, and The Windquest Group he now uses to invest in businesses across the U.S. and particularly in his home state of Michigan. Despite the large amounts of time Dick DeVos devotes to his business career in what should be his retirement I have been impressed by the large gains he has made as a philanthropist in many different areas. The Wikipedia page of Dick DeVos explains he has been an important member of many different organizations, including the drive to bring traditional American values back to the world with The Willow Creek Association I remain impressed with.
